Graduation Ceremony at Children 1st @ Main Street

Over the last few months our school leavers have been practising for their Gingerbread Man performance in preparation for our graduation ceremonies.

The children enjoyed making Gingerbread Man cakes with Miss Jade ready to share with our mummies and daddies on the big day. The children loved adding a special little Gingerbread Man and sprinkles to the top of every cake.

On their big day the children were really excited to change into their costumes. When the time came the children performed an amazing adaptation of the Gingerbread Man story. The children shared special songs with all who came to watch.

Whilst the children got ready for the graduation ceremony, the parents were able to watch a short video of their children’s time at nursery. With tissues at the ready, each child was asked to join Miss Kirsty to graduate from nursery. Miss Kirsty asked all the children what school they were going to and what they were going to miss about nursery. Miss Kirsty handed each child a certificate. As a final surprise the children sang and danced ‘Celebrate and Graduate’ to the tune of ‘Dynamite.’ In true graduate style the children threw their graduation hats into the air!

Thank-you to all the parents who attended our graduation ceremonies. It was a very special occasion for children, parents and staff. We wish all our children the best of luck at their new schools in September.
