Time for Exploration at Children 1st @ Hathern

What’s in the basket? How does it feel? Which is my favourite? The Jemima Puddleducks and the Bobtails have been exploring the items hidden in their treasure baskets. Using their sensory skills by looking carefully, feeling the textures and searching for sounds, they quietly curious as they handled each item.

The Benjamin Bunnies have also been exploring. Their focus was to experiment with making marks on tyres. They The children watched how colours change when they are mixed together and practised their fine motor skills as they applied the paint.

All these activities give the children the opportunity to find out more about the world around them and develop their language skills through first-hand experience.
