Graduation and Fund Raising at Children 1st @ Leicester

Many thanks to everyone at Leicester who organised and supported this year’s Summer Fair. The money raised will be donated to The Foundation for Prader-Willi Syndrome Research U.K (FPWR) a national charitable organisation dedicated to eliminating the challenges faced by people with Prader-Willi Syndrome.

The Foundation was chosen as one of the children attending the nursery has this rare genetic condition that causes a range of severe physical symptoms. Through discussion with the child’s mother, nursery staff realised the importance of the vital research undertaken by the FPWR to provide a better life for those with the condition. We hope our donation will play a small part in supporting the vital research undertaken by the FPWR to provide a better life for those with the condition.

It’s graduation time again and another year has flown by. To celebrate the achievement of the children during their time at nursery, families and staff came together to enjoy the children’s performance of ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and to see the children receive their graduation certificates. Well done to all the children on a splendid performance and best wishes to our school leavers for every success  in their new schools.
