Blast Off at Children 1st @ Sheffield
What a blast we have had at Sheffield helping to celebrate the Apollo moon landing which took place fifty years ago.
We prepared for own moon exploration and our big take-off by making space helmets and preparing a picnic to take on our journey. It wouldn’t do to get hungry!
We used our technological skills to learn all about the moon and how to get there safely and then it was time for the count down as we blasted off on our big adventure.
Safely back on planet Earth, we even made the headlines as we became first children to land on the moon! And as you can see from the photographs, the staff shared the great adventure by hitching a ride aboard the space craft!
