Graduation Celebrations at Children 1st @ Newark and Birstall
The school leavers at our nurseries have been working hard to learn their parts for their graduation play which this year was based on the classic tale ‘The Gingerbread Man.’
At Newark the children made everyone so proud with their performance and even brought their audience and the staff close to tears! Their ballet lessons came in handy when they adapted their ‘fox dance’ so it fitted into the play. The children felt that this was their favourite part of the play.
As the weather was so sunny, it was decided to make the most of the beautiful grounds by holding the actual Graduation Ceremony outdoors. A wonderful day ended with party food on the lawn and games to share with the grown-ups.
At Birstall, the children were very excited to perform their play in the community hall on the big stage. It was lovely to see a great turn out from the parents who loved hearing the children singing beautifully and speaking clearly. The children looked very grown up as they gathered on the stage to receive their certificates.
A huge well-done to the children from Newark and Birstall. The staff have loved watching them grow, play and learn in their early years and we wish them all the best of luck at big school.
