Benjamin Bunnies Under the Sea at Children 1st @ Sheffield
This week the Benjamin Bunnies have been finding out about life under the sea. Inspired by the magical book, The Rainbow Fish written and drawn by Marcus Pfister, the children created their own display which they named after the book. This involved some fancy footwork as the children made the colourful background using their own footprints to create fish. Looking at the illustrations encouraged the children to learn the names of the colours and to compare different sizes. Everyone loved the story with its fabulous pictures and its message about sharing and friendship.
Under water exploration took place when the children discovered sea creatures frozen in ice. The animals were rescued by the Benjamin Bunnies who watched excitedly as the ice melted away to reveal what was trapped inside. The feel of the cool ice in warm hands was just perfect in the hot weather!
