Beach Day at Children 1st @ Hathern
What a fantastic beach themed day our early years children have enjoyed! The children had fun splashing around in the paddling pool and talking about the ripples they could see in the water. They practised their fine motor skills going shell hunting but had to beware of the pesky crabs!
Paddling and hunting made everyone hungry, so it was time to refuel at the beach snacks hut where the children dived into some raisins.
For the beach ball races, the children worked in teams. They had to be extremely careful not to drop the ball when passing it over their heads to reach to the end of their line.
We ended the day with a very tasty tea, featuring crab croissants and some melon sticks.
Our super beach day was so good even the sun came out to add to the fun!
