Nursery Council First Meeting at Children 1st @ Syston
Our first council meeting of the new term was a great success.
The children involved were selected to be our nursery councillors this term and have taken their role very seriously. They have their own little lanyard with their name and picture on with the words ‘Nursery Councillor’ underneath.
Our first meeting involved having a drink of milk and a biscuit which the children thought was brilliant! They also had their very own clip board and pencil which they used to write or draw what they enjoyed doing while at nursery. Favourites included playing outside in the garden, using the Lego and the Jolly Phonics sessions. They also thought that ‘busy fingers’ used to signal time to stop and listen was a good idea.
The councillors were to think of new activities they would like at nursery which we’re not doing at the moment and they came up with some wild and wonderful ideas! Currently we’re looking into their suggestion that we should have a nursery pet so we’ll keep you posted on that one!
