A Visit from ZooLab at Children 1st @ Chesterfield Royal Hospital

Wow! Such an exciting visit from the Ranger at ZooLab who came to tell us all about some rather fascinating creatures. The visit was all the more fun because the Ranger brought along all kinds of creatures that the children would not usually have the opportunity to see, especially up-close. There was a tarantula, a snake, a centipede and a rat. Some of the children were even brave enough to touch them, making this a unique hands-on learning experience.

After chatting about the various creatures, we headed outside for a ‘bug hunt’ using the theme/tune of the story, ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt.’

This was such an exciting experience, made all the better for having our friends from Children 1st @ Clowne come along to share the fun.
