Healthy Pizzas at Children 1st @ Plumtree
Such a responsibility when the children decided to make pizzas for tea! As part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ theme the children learned about the processes our cook uses when she is making tea and thought they would have a go at being cooks for the day!
Hugo reminded everyone about the importance of washing our hands thoroughly and wearing an apron before the food preparation started.
Using pizza bases conveniently cut into quarters, our cooks for the day carefully squeezed on the tomato puree and then had fun selecting the healthy toppings. “Pineapple is yummy,” said Noah. However Daniel said, “I love the red peppers.” Good job there was plenty of both for each pizza and with some chicken as well, these were turning into some rather special pizzas. With a final topping of cheese, the pizzas were ready for the oven and soon laid out for tea. Everyone agreed our young cooks had done a brilliant job!
