Autumn Book-A-Thon at Children 1st @ Toton

The book loving children at Toton held an Autumn-Book-A-Thon  where they completed book related tasks and activities around some popular children’s stories. Favourites included, Percy the Park Keeper, Stickman, The Gruffalo, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and the Scarecrow’s Wedding.

Family and friends sponsored the children as part of the Osbourne Book Challenge and altogether we raised a whopping £1600 to fund the purchase of new books for us all to enjoy. As the photographs show, the new books have already made a big impact on the children and will hopefully help to get them into the joy of reading for life.
