Fire Engine Visit at Children 1st @ Newark
Our Peter Rabbits and the early years children enjoyed a fantastic visit from the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service as part of their ‘People Who Help Us’ topic.
We were delighted to welcome five local fire fighters from the Newark station and their fire engine. The children loved hearing about the work undertaken by the fire fighters to keep everyone in the community safe. Of course, looking around the big red engine, finding out about the equipment it carries and listening to the very loud siren, all made this visit extra special.
Many thanks to the officers from Newark Fire Station for finding the time to come and visit. Their visit has certainly inspired one of our children. Michael was so impressed by the fire fighters visit he declared, “I want to be a fire fighter when I’m older!”
