Autumn Stay and Play and Firework Splashes at Children 1st @ Leek Pre School

An Autumn themed ‘Stay and Play’ in the early years room saw a range of colourful activities for our visitors and the children to enjoy. The pumpkin rice crispy cakes and “orange and black” cupcakes we made for our families to share were delicious. Autumn colouring and Autumn playdough creations, using cinnamon and nutmeg to make our playdough smell Autumnal made this a seasonal ‘Stay and Play.’

 Seasonal colours were also the theme of a painting activity when thoughts turned to fireworks. The children  experimented with colours and different ways of painting to create “explosive” firework pictures. Applying paint with forks and straw blowing it to mix seasonal colours resulted in some bright firework pictures.
