Building the Castle Hotel at Children 1st @ The Marina

Inspired by the remodelling work taking place at The Marina, the early years have been finding out about buildings and how they are constructed.

As well as looking at the shapes which are seen in buildings, they’ve been talking about the construction process and learning what words such as foundations, demolition and insulation mean. Information books have helped them to find out so much about buildings.

They’ve also found out about the tools used by the builders, their names and their purpose.

Of course, the children were keen to get busy with their own construction and decided to build their own ‘Castle Hotel.’ With their high visibility jackets, hard hats and tool belts they look to be doing a great job insulating the hotel so it will nice and cosy for future guests!
