Space Activities Launched at Children 1st @ Meir Park
An exciting week of space related activities saw the children getting sticky with papier mache, being creative with paper plates and having fun in the space themed tuff spot.
The topic of ‘Space’ is one which the children always enjoy as it presents so many opportunities to learn more about the wonder of our galaxy and to engage in role play and creative activities.
Everyone worked together to create planet Earth from papier mache and found out about the place of the planet in the solar system. We also discussed the moon, chatting about its surface and what could be on it. We created our own solar system from paper plate planets.
Our starry galaxy pictures were made from different sized stars which we dipped into silver paint to print. Our featured book, ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ has caused lots of laughter and chatter as we shared this hilarious story.
A great first week of this exciting topic and we’re all looking forward to discovering more about our galaxy.
