Sensory Exploration at Children 1st @ The Marina
With sensory bags packed with exciting materials such as hair gel, googly eyes, shredded paper, confetti, water and pom poms there was so much for the little ones to explore at The Marina. From squashy, cold textures to hard, spiky ones and colours and shapes to handle and look at, this was a great immersive experience for the children.
The playdough was also put to good use and featured more objects to explore with the senses such as lollipop sticks, foil and mirrored blocks.
All this exploration encouraged speech with the children using single words, sometimes putting more words together as they played with the materials. For Jack it was a, “Wow!” whilst Eleanor said, “Shake it, shake it stars!”
