Happy 100th Birthday Captain Tom
Everyone at Meir Park has had a great day celebrating Captain Tom’s 100th birthday. Whilst the fund-raising and chart-topping hero enjoyed a special RAF flypast, we had a fun party.
The nursery was decorated with the festive bunting we made earlier in the week. We all dressed in our party clothes and wore party hats decorated with Captain Tom’s face. At the party we played games such as mini golf, skittles, pass the parcel and musical statues. There was also some splendid party food which featured the lovely scones we all helped to make.
Congratulations to Captain Tom for his incredible achievement in raising around £30,000,000 for the NHS and a very Happy Birthday from all of us at Children 1st. Happy birthday also to Children 1st director, Julia Mason, whose image also features on the hats!
