National Read a Book Day at Children 1st @ Newark

It’s National Read a Book Day! To celebrate this special day, all the children across the nursery loved picking out and sharing their favourite books.

We were delighted to receive photos from home showing the children reading their favourite books.

” ‘Room on the Broom,’ is my favourite book,” said Arthur.

“My daddy loves the tractor book too,” said Isla.

It’s great to see that our children and so many of their families are ‘hooked on reading.’ Sharing books and their illustrations is a wonderful way of stimulating the children’s imaginations and expands their understanding of the world as well as being tremendous fun.
