Bear Hunt Adventures at Children 1st @ Main Street

The Peter Rabbit children have been enjoying our story of the month, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury.

The children decorated their own dark forest in preparation.

During story time the children listened to the story being read by Miss Kelsey whilst Miss Hayley set up an exciting activity in the garden.

Once the story had finished the children got ready to go outside and begin their own bear hunt adventure.

In small groups the children went on their adventurous journey. They went through the wavy grass…. squelched in the oozy mud…. stumbled in the dark forest…. went through the swirling whirling snowstorm until they found the bear hiding in the cave!!!

The children were so excited… but are “never going on a bear hunt again!”
