Biff, Chip and Kipper at Children 1st @ Derby Road

The characters from the UK’s most successful reading schemes, the Oxford Reading Tree, have arrived at Derby Road and our older children have been busy getting to know all about them.

The children were delighted with the Biff, Chip and Kipper character spoons made by Miss Frankie and were soon using them in their role play activities. This included making some great dens which caused lots of chatter.

The children soon noticed that their art work on display matched the characters on the spoons.

During focus time the children have enjoyed matching the jigsaw puzzles together using clues about what is happening in the pictures.

Biff and Chip have got off to a great start and we look forward to more adventures with all the characters to support the development of the children’s early reading skills.
