Home Grown Christmas Sprouts at Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean

The children planted out some young sprout plants at the beginning of March. They looked after them all summer and autumn and, after months of waiting, they finally picked them on Monday.

The sprouts were given to our cook Miss Sam so they could be used for our Christmas lunch. The children  thoroughly enjoyed eating our home grown sprouts with Mr Harvey and even the rabbits enjoyed their Christmas lunch!

The children have learnt about how food grows and what we need to do to take care of the plants to help them grow.
