Peter Rabbits Explore ‘Space’ at Children 1st @ Grantham
Our topic in the Peter Rabbits’ room this month is ‘Space.’ The children have enjoyed joining in with a variety of activities. These included making their own rocket pictures using different cut out shapes, painting on tin foil, making marble planets, making aliens with the playdough and much more .
Best of all they enjoyed role playing in our Space station which Miss Sarah and Miss Amy created. Here they were able to look at the planets and move them on the sensory board. They wore the headphones to pick up signals from outer space and used the space paper to write down any important notes.
The Peter Rabbits became fantastic astronauts, getting in their rocket and blasting off to the moon just like Baby Bear from the ‘Whatever Next! story by Jill Murphy.
We’re looking forward to further adventures in the galaxy as we continue to explore the wonder of space.
