Jumping the Rainbow at Children 1st @ Oakwood, Derby

In the Peter Rabbit room the children were bubbling with excitement over their science experiment ‘The Jumping Rainbow’ for St.Patricks Day.
Miss Alice supported the children in pouring the water to mix in with the food colouring. The children were in awe as they watched the rainbow grow.

The children shared their views making comments such as: “It’s going all red.” “It’s a rainbow.” “Rainbow pretty.”  “It’s red, blue, green and yellow.”

What a wow activity to mark St. Patricks Day! The Peter Rabbits didn’t find a pot of gold or a leprechaun at the end of the rainbow but they did enjoy the magic of watching the paper absorb the colour to make a rainbow.
