My Family and I at Children 1st @ Birstall!
At the beginning of the autumn term, the children at our Birstall nursery learnt about the topic “My family and I”.
Thank you to all of the parents who got involved with the children’s home task and made fabulous family trees. The children really enjoyed showing and talking about who is in their family with their friends.
The children then had their own idea to create a nursery family tree and display this for all to see.
This encouraged the children to understand and talk about how we all have differences and similarities. This was supported by a fun egg activity to represent that we may look different but inside we are all the same. They had a cracking time!
Some children also made faces of someone who is special to them out of wooden spoons!
