Galaxy of Space Activities at Children 1st @ Leicester

The children in the Peter Rabbits’ room have been focusing on the topic of ‘Space’ this term. They have been carefully searching for planets in the tuff spot using the tweezers to extract and replace them. The home corner has been transformed into the Leicester Space Station. The children have loved  flying into space and looking for planets using the telescope.

Peter Rabbits enjoyed even more fun dressing as astronauts and flying to the moon. They used tin foil to make their space suits as well as making their own jet pack!

They’ve also been showing their creative skills, making robots using a variety of resources including cardboard boxes, tin foil and lots of glue. They then used their fine motor skills to use the screwdrivers, nuts and bolts to connect them together. Fantastic junk modelling Peter Rabbits!
Early Years joined in the ‘Space’ adventure exploring the moon in the tuff spot. They used their hands to explore the textures, as well as making space suits and robots using junk modelling materials. The results were out of this world! Well done everyone!
