A Duo of Celebrations at Children 1st @ Oakwood
We have had ‘eggcellent’ fun on Pancake Day and hope you all did too!
All the children took part in pancake themed activities.
We explored the scales, watching the dial move to different numbers, mixed using spoons and bowls and scooping the flour.
We have also been decorating our own pancakes, choosing the different toppings and painting our own small and large scale pancakes.
We had sensory fun in Jemima Puddleducks with our ‘pancake’ mixture, feeling the textures in our little hands and watching it fall!
We finished off our fun day with a pancake tea.
We also talked with the children about St.David’s Day.
We looked at the Welsh flag and some of our children made their own flag to take home!
The Benjamin Bunnies made their own daffodils (the Welsh flower). We all think they look beautiful!
