Holly the Dog Visits Children 1st @ Oakwood

We’ve had a very special visitor at Oakwood.  Miss Danni brought her dog Holly to meet the children. This was a perfect opportunity for the children to find out all about Holly.

Miss Danni talked to the children about the different parts of Holly’s body. She explained all the yummy treats Holly loves to eat. Miss Danni then showed how good Holly was with her listening by playing catch. Miss Danni spoke about Holly’s breed and explained how to best care for Holly and her needs.

The children all had a go at stroking Holly and feeling the softness of her fur. They were also able to make a lovely bond with her when playing catch the ball. The children all knew how important it is to wash their hands when handling pets.

The children all spoke about their own pets and how much they loved them.

We would like to say a big thank you to Miss Danni and of course Holly for this opportunity of allowing the children to feel comfortable being around a dog.
