Hello Ducklings at Children 1st @ Syston

Hurrah! It was so exciting to watch the eggs, mentioned in our previous story, hatch.

We brought the incubator down to the children’s level so they could all watch. Everyone was very quiet so we could hear the chicks cheeping as they broke out of their shells.

The chicks from the first two eggs that hatched were placed carefully in the cage with food and water and we waited patiently for the other three ducklings to emerge.

Now all five duck eggs have hatched, the children have been busy deciding on names for them. So, it’s a big Syston welcome to Pizza, Bean, Star, Orla and George, our five tiny ducklings!

The children are enjoying caring for them and are loving watching them grow.
