Adventures Galore at Children 1st @ Main Street

We’re having such adventurous times here at Main Street and we’d like to share two of our adventures with you.

After reading the classic story, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt,’ by Michael Rosen, the Peter Rabbits’ children decided to go on their own exciting adventure. The children had to ‘splash, splosh’ through the cold water before battling the snowy blizzard! The brave children then had to ‘stumble, trip’ through the forest until they reached the bear’s cave and explored what was hiding inside. Luckily it was our healthy eating mascot, Mr Harvey! The children were all very brave and enjoyed exploring the various textures using all of their senses.

Continuing our theme of adventures, the Early Years’ children have been on their own safari ride. They began by making some binoculars so that they would see the various animals, as well as creating their own map so they would not get lost through the safari park! Once they were ready, our “tour guide” drove us through the park so we could spot all of the different animals that were hiding from us and observe them in their natural environment. Armed with our maps and checklists, we identified countless animals including tigers, monkeys, lions and elephants and made sure that we were very quiet so as not to disturb them in their habitats.

We’re excited to discover where our next adventure will take us!
