Bye, Bye Chicks at Children 1st @ Birstall

Time has flown since the eggs arrived and we watched them begin to crack in the incubator. The children were fascinated as they waited patiently to see the emerging chicks.

As the chicks hatched overnight, they missed the big event but never the less the children were very excited when they arrived at nursery to discover seven beautiful chicks. The Early Years’ children named them Nemo, Dory, Spotty, Sophie, Hulk, Coco and Minnie.

After a month of helping to rear the chicks and enjoying the delight of carefully holding them, the time has arrived for them to return to the farm where they will have much more room to run around and be with their other bird friends.

Well done everyone for looking after the chicks so well. You’ve done a brilliant job and we’re sure the farmer will be pleased with your good work.
