National Ice Cream Day at Children 1st @ Meir Park

Although Ice Cream Day began in America, we all know that ice creams and lollies are a popular treat in the UK, especially during the hot weather we’ve been enjoying recently. It’s estimated that 12 ice creams are sold every second on average during a UK summer!

The Early Years at Meir Park certainly enjoyed their celebration.  They were busy practising their fine motor skills as they used the pegs and poms poms to paint their favourite flavour ice cream.

They have also been role playing in our ice cream shop tuff spot tray before tucking into an ice cream themselves with a sauce topping of their choice! A perfect way to round off our fun activities!
