Caution! Potion Mixing at Children 1st @ Syston

The Early Years’ children have been very busy in the garden creating a variety of different potions.

They used a range of sensory materials such as soap, leaves, soil, water and herbs and lots more! Using their large motor skills, they set to work mixing the ingredients in the cauldron using a whisk. They carefully transferred their creation into the large potion bottles.

This activity linked with our story of the month ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, which tells the story of a kind witch and her cat who invite three other animals to join them travelling on her broomstick. Like the creatures in the story, our potion making Early Years showed great teamwork in making the perfect potion!
