Nursery Council Meeting at Children 1st Acorns Upper Tean
For our first Nursery Council meeting of the new term, we decided to make the most of the sunshine and hold the meeting outside.
We took a trip across the stream using the stepping stones to the island where Mr Harvey was waiting for us. Mr Harvey asked us what we had enjoyed most about the last half term. Daisy said, “Looking after the butterflies.”
We also discussed our next topics – All About Me, Our Local Community and People Who Help Us. Our Nursery Council helped to decide the activities we would like to share with our friends whilst learning about our topics.
Rowan said, “I want to make gingerbread men at nursery.” Riley contributed his idea of creating fire engines out of junk modelling material. The Nursery Council also put forward their idea of our Early Years children enjoying a “Dress Up” day relating to our topic.
Our successful meeting ended with the council members enjoying a drink and snack together.
Thank-you to our Nursery Council for your input, we will be meeting again very soon for our next deliberation!
