Black Cat and Pumpkin Days at Children 1st Nurseries
What fun days have been enjoyed by the children and staff at our nurseries! Our annual autumnal celebration included a wide range of activities to engage and excite the children.
There were so many wonderful costumes for us to talk about! Bats, pumpkins, skeletons, witches and so many more arrived to start their special day, all looking fabulous.
Thank-you to all our families for providing these splendid outfits.
A happy day was spent hunting for pumpkins, scooping them out, adding magic ingredients to make pumpkin brews and spooky soups, sorting colours and objects and baking the most delicious cup-cakes. Some children even made their own spiders!
The Early Years at Syston explored a tuff tray filled with green slime and spiders, with pumpkins! They loved their ‘Awe and Wonder’ science activity, pouring white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda into the pumpkins to make a fizzing reaction! The children made predictions of what they thought would happen, as well as discussing the different textures found in the tuff tray.
Days full of magical fun ended with themed tea parties, laughter, and chatter!
We invite you to share our super celebrations by looking through the gallery of photographs from Bilborough, Birstall, Hathern, Leicester and Syston.
