Down in the Woods at Children 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul

The Early Years have enjoyed the seasonal magic of their woodland where they created even more wonder and awe by toasting their own marshmallows over a real fire.

To start off the experience though, it was important to have a serious chat about the importance of knowing and following the fire safety rules and the importance of listening to the adults whilst near the fire.

The fun commenced with some very yummy hot chocolate and then it was time to select the marshmallows and push them onto the skewers. The children waited patiently until their name was called and then went to sit either side of Miss Nicole to toast their squashy marshmallows.

After waiting for them to cool down a little, the children made short work of eating up their toasted treats.

Everyone had fantastic listening ears on during this woodland activity and followed all of the safety rules that they were told at the start. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful outdoor experience area. Well done everyone!
