Dear Zoo and Talk Time at Children 1st @ Buckinghams

Our Bobtails loved our zoo themed week.

They dressed up as zoo animals and brought in their own handmade sock puppets showing their favourite wild animal. We have made our own jungle outdoors and the children have showed so much interest in looking closely at the animals and learning all the sounds that they make.

The children have loved listening to Miss Emily read ‘Dear Zoo.’ They showed excitement as they looked at the different pictures of the zoo animals.

The Peter Rabbits meanwhile have been enjoying talking with Miss Sydney. This is part of a six-week programme that encourages their communication and language. We start by showing the children the visual step by step cards. They will also take part in a listening game which may involve blowing bubbles or playing peek-a-boo. So far, the children have enjoyed the themed activities learning about our bodies, clothing and foods. The children also enjoyed interacting with the puppet Jack throughout these sessions and singing the hello and goodbye song!
