Nursery Council Handovers at Children 1st @ Clowne and Chesterfield Royal Hospital

As many nursery council members will soon be heading off to school, the time has come for new members to be elected and for them to receive some top tips from their experienced friends.

With six new members on Clowne’s nursery council and four at Chesterfield, the meetings were off to a good start with children at both nurseries coming up with some great suggestions for what they would like to see happening at their nursery.

At Clowne the council members decided that they would like to have a visit from a fire engine as part of their next topic ‘People Who help Us.’ Sophia told all her friends that her Mummy looks after dogs which is such a helpful job!

Finding out about flowers and a superhero and princess dress-up day were the favourites at Chesterfield. However, Miss Katie was quite keen on the suggestion of making a delicious chocolate cake!

We look forward to hearing further suggestions from the nursery councils across Children 1st settings as the year progresses.
