Traditional Tales at Children 1st @ Leicester

Our Peter Rabbits have been busy role playing the stories from some of our much loved books.

The story of Little Red Riding Hood is a firm favourite. They used the book to recreate the story using the pictures hidden in the tuff spot. The children became excited as they found each correct picture for the next part of the story. They had fun acting out the story in the garden. We had a fabulous wolf and Red Riding Hood.

We then ended the day by having a picnic in the garden with sandwiches the children had helped to make earlier.

‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson may not be a traditional tale but it’s certainly a book the Peter Rabbits enjoy. After sharing the story, the Peter Rabbits were soon busy recreating the adventure of the witch and her friends using a tuff spot created from materials of various textures. In their play, the children kindly made sure that there was room on the broom for everyone!
