Action Packed Start to Autumn at Children 1st @ Newark Town
It was smiles all-round as the Autumn term at Newark Town got off to a flying start.
The weather has been mixed with sunshine and heavy rain, but the children have made the most of being outside whenever possible.
Early September saw the children from the baby unit enjoying the beautiful weather to explore the mud kitchen, enjoy a variety of water activities and get physical on the slide and the bikes.
As the garden began to turn autumnal, children from across the nursery loved seeking shelter in the mud kitchen as they escaped from the rain and the wind. The children really engaged in their play, using their imaginations to explore the world around them and developing their mathematical knowledge through play.
Autumn is a time for harvest and again Newark Town decided to collect food and hygiene products to support the local food bank. Thank-you to everyone who kindly supported the harvest collection.
The harvest themed ‘Stay and Play’ welcomed parents and carers of the under 3s to share the range of play activities the children experience. Both rooms did a fabulous job planning all the activities on offer and luckily the good weather enabled both sessions to be hosted in the beautiful garden areas.
With a visit to the local library proving as popular as ever and the arrival at the nursery of the Police and their car as part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic, it’s certainly has been an action-packed September at Newark Town!
