Special Visitors at Children 1st @ Chesterfield Royal Hospital

The children were delighted to receive a visit  from officers of Derbyshire Police who came along to talk with them about their work, as part of our ‘People who Help Us’ topic. Our very special visitors spoke to the children about their uniform and even allowed them to try some of it on! Even more exciting was the opportunity to sit inside the Police car!

Our other special visitor was Miss Kate who provides the first aid training for all the nursery staff at Children 1st. She joined us to show the children some simple first aid techniques. The children learned about the recovery position, how to put on bandages and tried out Miss Kate’s special foil blanket.
