A Christmas to Remember at Children 1st @ Bilborough
The festive season is in full swing at Bilborough with the Christmas nativity, parties, songs around the tree and a visit from a drama group!
The Early Years performed their nativity, ‘Everyone Loves a Baby,’ in the Jubilee LEAD Academy School hall in front of their parents and carers. The children had practised their songs and words very well and so were ready to give a marvellous performance. With lovely singing and clear speaking, the children delighted their visitors and the staff.
The Peter Rabbits were also in fine voice for their two festive sing-a-longs. The decorated outdoor area, complete with a Christmas tree, was the perfect setting as parents and children gathered together to share some of our favourite songs.
After all the wonderful singing the children were ready to enjoy their party. Traditional games such as pass the parcel and musical statues, party food and a visit from Father Christmas made this a party to remember. The early years children enjoyed visiting him in his grotto which was set up at the Jubilee LEAD Academy School, whilst the little ones were visited in their nursery areas.
To round off this fabulous Christmas, the Early Years’ children were invited to watch a special performance of the festive classic, ‘The Nutcracker and the Mouse King,’ at the school. They loved watching the tale of how Marie and her Nutcracker become Prince and Princess of the Land of Sweets!
Thank-you to everyone who joined in with our Christmas celebrations and special thanks to the Jubilee LEAD Academy for all their support.
A Merry Christmas to all.
