A Muddy Morning at Children 1st @ Acorns

What a marvellously muddy morning we enjoyed recently!

We went down to the field and found our wheelbarrows full of water from the rain. We decided to pour all the water onto the soil and make lots of squelchy mud!

We splashed in the muddy water and Riley said, “This is so sticky. I’m stuck!”

We used an assortment of  containers to transfer the muddy water to the mud kitchen and back again. We stirred the mud and the water together and Imogen said, “I’m making soup.”

Our favourite part was lying down in the mud and getting covered in it. This was so funny! The further into the mud we dug, the more worms we found! We’re sure they were the same ones from when we were bug hunting!

At the end of the morning we were so muddy that Miss Claire had to hose us down before we took off our waterproofs! This was great fun!

In fact, the whole muddy morning was brilliant!
