A Perfect Spot for a Story at Children 1st @ Rosemary Lane
We love sharing stories and rhymes here at Rosemary Lane and are fortunate in having so many lovely spots inside and out for settling down to a good read.
In the early Autumn sunshine, the garden is always a favourite spot with its huge story chair and giant tractor wheel both of which make perfect spots for a solo read or for sharing with friends.
Being in the garden means we also have some unexpected ‘friends’ popping up to join in with our stories! When we were reading one of our favourite books, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle, we spotted two hungry caterpillars nibbling their way through our vegetable patch. After nibbling their way through all the leaves, they must have been very full! We hope they will turn into beautiful butterflies like the one in the story.
Perhaps we’ll spot them next time we are having a good read in our garden.
