A Rainy Summer Fayre at Children 1st @ Newark Town
Thank-you to everyone who came to support our Summer Fair.
There were plenty of activities to make this a fun occasion for all. The ‘hook-a-duck’ is always a firm favourite with the little ones and they love having their photographs taken in the pop-up photo booth. This was a good opportunity to record some of the great face paintings that had taken place. A fantastic balloon modeller came along to bring more delight to the morning. With mouth-watering cakes to buy and raffle tickets for a little flutter, this was a lovely event and the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits.
Money raised will support the work of The Newark Food Bank who provide three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. The organisation is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, who work to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
The amount raised will be match funded by Children 1st as part of their 30th anniversary pledge to support 30 good causes in 2019.
Thanks to everyone who donated items for the stalls and who gave up their time to run the event.
