All Hands-on Deck at Children 1st @ Oakwood
Ahoy there! Jemima Puddleducks and Bobtails have been busy exploring their world using their senses to learn through a range of wonderful activities.
The Bobtail boat was a marvellous creation. Made using junk materials, and painted to perfection by the Bobtails, the finished boat soon carried the children away on their adventures.
More fun was had playing in bubbly water, exploring sensory bags, enjoying large scale painting, and painting with flowers.
Talking of adventures, the older children have been travelling around the world visiting four countries with which the staff had some connection.
By exploring a range of traditional activities from each country, the children found out about Poland, the Caribbean islands, Italy, and China. They junk modelled forms of transport and enjoyed tasting traditional foods.
Everyone loved joining in with the Caribbean carnival. The children danced to traditional music, dressed-up in colourful clothing, and created their own headwear! Great fun was had by all!
