Animals in Autumn at Children 1st @ Derby Road

Peter Rabbits have been talking about the fascinating ways animals prepare for Autumn. One activity that keeps many animals busy at this time of year is stocking up on food, with many, such as squirrels, collecting nuts to store to eat later.

The children decided to make their own bird feeders to take home for the birds in their gardens. Everyone was soon busy mushing together seeds and lard and using the mixture to fill containers of goodness for the hungry birds who visit their gardens. The children are looking forward to watching the visiting birds and seeing how many varieties the feeders attract.
