Author Visit to Children 1st @ Plumtree

Many thanks to author Frances Tunnicliffe who kindly visited Plumtree to share her new book ‘The Scissor Family and Friends’ with the children.

As a grandma herself, Frances is very experienced at reading bedtime stories, and it was actually because of this that she was inspired to write her own book.

The setting for the book is a dusty dark workroom belonging to an old toymaker which comes to life when a bright moon beam rests on a box of scissors and the magic happens!

This book certainly sparked the children’s curiosity and imagination, and they sat in raptures listening well as the story unfolded.

The book is available to view in reception and is available to purchase from Amazon or good bookshops such as Waterstones. Frances is local to Keyworth and is happy to sign any purchased books.
