Autumn Fun at Children 1st @ Grantham
In our Under 2s unit the children have enjoyed exploring our Autumn sensory tray where there were so many wonderful objects, materials, and textures for them to explore. They all loved playing peek-a-boo by using the coloured chiffon scarves. Mixing the Autumn colours together under the clingfilm by using their hands was a delightful experience and the results of all that squishing and squashing of paint was pretty good too!
The Peter Rabbits have also been exploring Autumn. They’ve been busy making hedgehogs and enjoyed helping to mix red and green paint together to make brown to dye their dough. They used pasta for the hedgehog spikes, which they counted as they placed each one on their dough. They then used conkers for the hedgehog’s eyes. Well done Peter Rabbits for some great modelling and really good concentration.
