Bear Hunt Adventures at Children 1st @ Plumtree

Children in Peter Rabbits are enjoying our story of the month, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury.

Last week they went on their own bear hunt exploring all the different textures of the swishy grass, deep cold river, the thick oozy mud, the forest and the swirling whirling snow storm and were able to describe the textures.

The children were all very excited when they saw the bear in the cave at the end of their amazing journey. They thoroughly enjoyed sharing this fabulous book and are able to repeat words and phrases used in the story and fill in missing words or phrases all of which links with their reading targets from the EYFS. This has been a great book for developing early reading skills whilst also having lots of fun!
