Biscuits and Gardening at Children 1st @ Shepshed
Spontaneity was the order of the day when the children decided to plant some flowers to brighten up a corner of the nursery grounds. Luckily Mr Gerald our maintenance gardener was on hand to help out. There was plenty of discussion about the plants, colours, care, growing, planting and how plants help the insects in our gardens. Now the plants are in the ground, the children have the responsibility of looking after them. Hopefully, with their TLC the plants will grow beautifully.
Meanwhile indoors it was time for some baking. After reading the recipe and gathering and weighing the ingredients it was time to start making the biscuits. After rubbing the margarine into the flour and mixing in the water, the dough was shaped into rounds and shell cutters were used to make a nice finish. Once baked and cooled, the biscuits were ready for eating! Delicious!
